Picasso’nun 1964‑1972 Dönemine Ait Dört Eser Sotheby’s’te Görüşe Sunulacak, 42 Milyon Doları Aşması Bekleniyor
Sotheby’s New York, Kasım ayında dört Picasso eserini müzayedeye çıkarıyor; iki eser 1970 Avignon sergisinden beri kamuoyunda görülmemiş.

Four paintings by Pablo Picasso, created between 1964 and 1972, will be offered at Sotheby’s New York in November. Two of the works have not been displayed publicly since a 1970 exhibition in Avignon, underscoring their rarity for collectors.
The pieces belong to Picasso’s so‑called “Heroic Years,” a period when his style grew looser and more expressive, often interpreted as a final flourish before the last decades of his life. This context adds historical weight to the works beyond their aesthetic qualities.
The lead work, Femme nue et homme au fanion (1969), is estimated at US$15‑20 million. Sotheby’s projects that the four‑piece lot will exceed US$42 million in total, reflecting strong market appetite for late‑period Picasso paintings.
Ahead of the sale, the works are on view at Sotheby’s Paris showroom until 23 October, coinciding with Art Basel. The preview offers collectors and the public a rare chance to examine the pieces before they enter the auction block.
